I do not know if it is a common practice between artists and bands, but everytime Bjork comes out with a new album she reinterprets all of her previous songs, she does new arrengements and even vocals to her older work. I think the main reason why Bjork does that is because she doesnt have a band, so she is constantly changing partners with different equipment and instruments in each album, and she can get pretty obssesed, when she finds a new toy (person or instrument) she goes all the way with it in her music. I remembered i was blown away with the Vespertine version of Human behaviour when i listened for the first time at the Coachella festival and couldnt wait for de dvd to come out.
Well, she didnt dissapointed with the song versions from the Volta tour. And thankfully her latest album is Voltaic, a studio version of her Volta tour where she injected a much needed blood to songs from medulla and volta itself, and in general all the songs have more rythm and beats. Im lovin army of me and wanderlust, well the whole voltaic is just so enjoyable.
